What Is Included

Segway guded tours are 2.5 hours long including training. Your Alcatraz ticket will be booked for the early afternoon, leaving enough time for a morning or night Segway tour. Your Alcatraz ticket includes the audio tour of Alcatraz Island and passage on the Alcatraz Ferry. Alcatraz Tickets often sell out over a week in advance, so book early. We do NOT sell Alcatraz Tickets without a bundled Segway tour.

Alcatraz Ferry and Island Tour Information

Begin your trip at Pier 33, where you will board the ferry at the Alcatraz Cruises Landing for a ten minute cruise across the San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island. This former federal penitentiary was home to the likes of Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelley, and Robert "The Birdman" Stroud. In addition to housing the famous prison, Alcatraz features some of the most spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
The National Park presents a captioned orientation video with historical footage, self-guided walks, exhibits and Ranger-interpretive talks on topics such as "Famous Escapes." Also featured is the Award-winning audio tour in the prison Cell House featuring actual interviews of former guards and inmates. The audio tour is available in six languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
After the tour, there is time to visit the Alcatraz Museum, the bookshop and explore the island. Stay as long as you like. Ferries depart every half hour back to San Francisco.

Alcatraz Tour Length: Average time spent on Alcatraz is 1.5 to 3 hours.

Combo Booking Instructions:

Book your Segway tour as the 1st reservation at $ 70.00 per person in our order system. When we receive your order we will then book the Alcatraz ferry ticket for you as a second reservation. The Alcatraz tickets will be booked and charged as a second credit card charge. If you want a specific Alcatraz departure time / or date please list it in the "special request" section on the order form.
You will receive 2 confirmations. The 1st confirmation is for the Segway tour and 2nd confirmation is for the Alcatraz ferry. There will be a delay for the Alcatraz order confirmation. Alcatraz departures are based on availability from the ferry service.

How to Pick Up Your Alcatraz Ticket
Your Alcatraz boarding tickets will be held at pre-paid will call at the Marine terminal of the Alcatraz Cruises Dock at PIER 33. When you present your Alcatraz Voucher, a picture ID and the credit card used on the reservation transaction the boarding tickets are printed. Be sure to show up 30 to 45 minutes before your Alcatraz cruise! Tickets may not be picked up prior to the tour date.

The National Park Pass is not applicable to the Alcatraz Tour. No exchanges, refunds or cancellations. You may purchase up to 8 tickets on the web. Alcatraz is a National Park and does not offer any refunds or discounts.
Alcatraz Cruises provides the Alcatraz ferry and tickets for the Cellhouse audio tour portion of this combination ticket. Alcatraz is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Alcatraz Cruises is a concessionaire of the National Park Service.
Current rates for the Day Alcatraz Ferry and Audio Tour: $ 30.00 for Adult/Juniors (Ages 12-61), $ 28.50 for Seniors (Ages 62+) Alcatraz rates subject to change without notice.

Accessibility: Upon landing on Alcatraz Island, you must walk up a steep hill on uneven pavement. SEAT (Sustainable Easy Access Transport) is available for wheelchair users and visitors unable to walk to quarter mile, 12% upgrade. No animals (except certified service animals) are allowed on Alcatraz Island.
