Former federal prison Alcatraz has become a must see activity for
visitors to the Bay Area.
Cruise to the infamous and notorious former federal prison - home to
the likes of Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelley, and Robert "The
Birdman" Stroud. The National Park presents a captioned orientation
video with historical footage, self-guided walks, exhibits and
Ranger-interpretive talks on topics such as "Famous Escapes." Also
featured is an Award-winning audio tour in the prison Cell House with
actual interviews of former guards and inmates - available in six
languages - English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
Alcatraz is one of San Francisco's most popular visitor attractions
and its tours frequently sell out a week or more in advance. Tickets
are rarely available at the Box Office for same-day sailings. The
Alcatraz Ferry and Audio Tour departs daily from Fisherman's Wharf in
San Francisco. The tour listed below is a Combination tour. We DO NOT
not sell Alcatraz tours without a 2nd tour.
COMBO BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Book your Segway tour as the 1st reservation at $ 70.00
per person in our order system. When we receive your order we will then book the Alcatraz ferry ticket for you as a second reservation.
The Alcatraz tickets will be booked and charged as a second credit card charge. If you want a specific Alcatraz departure time / or date please list it in the "special request" section on the order form.
You will receive 2 confirmations. The 1st confirmation is for the Segway tour and 2nd confirmation is for the Alcatraz ferry. There will be a delay for the Alcatraz order confirmation. Alcatraz departures are based on
availability from the ferry service.
Alcatraz Combo Tour Departure Times:
Segway Day Tour: 9:00 AM April - October or 10:00 AM November through
March - Alcatraz will always be booked as an late Afternoon departure time.
Segway Night Tour 5:00 PM Friday and Saturdays April - October
or 7:30 PM November through March - Thursday - Sunday.
Alcatraz will always be booked as an morning departure.
Alcatraz Ferry and Island Tour Info:
After a short 10 minute ferry ride from Pier 33 across San Francisco
Bay you will arrive on the infamous Alcatraz Island. The tour ticket includes
a movie of Alcatraz history and a 35 minute audio headset tour of an
Alcatraz cell block. This audio tour is available in 6 languages:
English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
To reach the Cell House, you must walk up a steep hill. In addition to
the famous prison, Alcatraz features some of the most spectacular
views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge from the island.
Please note that the walk to the Alcatraz Cellhouse is on steep,
uneven pavement. SEAT (Sustainable Easy Access Transport) is available
for wheelchair users and visitors unable to walk to quarter mile, 12%
upgrade. No animals (except certified service animals) are allowed on
Alcatraz Island.
After the tour there is time to visit the Alcatraz Museum, the
bookshop and explore the island. Stay as long as you like ferries
depart every 1/2 hour back to San Francisco.
Average time spent on Alcatraz is 1 1/2 - 3 hours.
Alcatraz Cruises provides the Alcatraz ferry and tickets for the
Cellhouse audio tour portion of this combination ticket. Alcatraz is
part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Alcatraz Cruises is
a concessionaire of the National Park Service.
Alcatraz Tickets are held at Pre-Paid Will Call:
Your Alcatraz boarding tickets will be held at the Marine terminal at
the Alcatraz Cruises Dock at PIER 33.
When you present your Alcatraz Voucher, picture ID and credit card
used on the reservation transaction the boarding tickets are printed.
Be sure to show up 30 to 45 minutes before your Alcatraz cruise!
Tickets may not be picked up prior to the tour date.

IMPORTANT: ALCATRAZ FERRY AND AUDIO TOUR: ALL ALCATRAZ SALES ARE FINAL
The National Park Pass is not applicable to the Alcatraz Tour. No
exchanges, refunds or cancellations. You may purchase up to 8 tickets
on the web. Alcatraz is a National Park and does not offer any refunds
or discounts.
Current rates for the Day Alcatraz Ferry and Audio Tour: $ 26.00 for
Adult/Juniors (Ages 12-61), $ 24.50 for Seniors (Ages 62+) Alcatraz Rates subject to change without notice.
