Jeff was our guide for the Sausalito tour. We got to see a lot of the area and were able to play with the Segways in a parking lot. It was a lot of fun. The Segways were quite easy to learn how to use; the guide was thorough in showing both the correct ways to maneuver as well as ways that other movements could cause problems and how to avoid them. I had expected to see more of Sausalito residential areas and "nicer" spots. I know it is hard to navigate hills, but I did expected to see more variety of things along the way. I did think our tour guide did a nice job with the route as it was, but I would have liked a more interesting route, and more info about those that live a more high end life style there. I think seeing the houseboats was interesting, but there is a lot more to the area than that lifestyle!
My 14 year old son loved trying the segways. It was worth it just to see his smile!

Our Segway tour of Sausalito was a blast. We were six "50 something" adults who felt like kids zooming around the waterfront. Our guide made learning the segway's operation fun and w/in just a few minutes each of us was ready to go. The tour was 3 hours long w/ frequent stops at points of interest w/ our guide providing many facts and details along the way. We're always looking for unusual things to do and the Segway tour was simply more fun than a bunch of friends should be allowed to have. We require 6 guests to run the Sausalito Tour. Individual reservations will be combined into groups of 6 as needed. Please indicate an alternate date and time on order form. For rider safety please no flip flops, sandals or high heel shoes. Sausalito Departure Location: Please meet at 1000 Bridgeway Sausalito CA, 94965. Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities? Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why the tour includes 40-45 minutes (estimated) of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. Rider Requirements: Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate. All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds (46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required. We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied on the tour by a parent or guardian.
