The Segway Advance Tour is our newest and most fun route. The Segway Advanced Tour is for people who have ridden a Segway i2 before and who wish to see a little more, and test the machine a little further. Previous Experience is Required: Advance Tour Rider Requirements: All Advance Tour Riders MUST have taken a 1+ Hour Segway Guided Tour (our tour or a tour in another city) on the newer Segway i2 model in the last 12 months. (five mionute test rides and tours on older Segway models do not qualify) All Riders must be 12 years and older. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds.

Segway Advanced Hills & Crooked Street Tour San Francisco

Explore the Hills of San Francisco on our fully Narrated and Guided Advance Segway Sightseeing Tour. The first and original Segway Tour in San Francisco. The tour route allows you to explore the Waterfront, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach Little Italy and the various hills and slopes of Telgraph Hill, Russian Hill and the famous Lombard Street. Enjoy breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay and the City Skyline.

After a 20-25 minute refresher orientation on how to safely operate the Segway, you will explore the San Francisco waterfront and hills for two hours! Tours are limited to ten riders and ages 12 and up are welcome. All tours start on time, so please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.Every tour makes stops for photos plus guidws take free pictures of your group.

• Cruise through Aquatic Park and to the end of Municipal Pier: See the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, great views of Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge and unbelievable bay vistas.

• Climb the slopes of Russian Hill, this affluent residential neighborhood's name goes back to the Gold Rush-era when settlers discovered a small Russian cemetery at the top of the hill.

 

• Peak down Hidden Stairways and Paths: See some of San Francisco's 350 hidden stairways and pedestrian-only lanes. Enjoy Sweeping Russian Hill views of Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Bay Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

• Climb past the Cable Cars to the peak of Lombard Street and then ride down the world's most famous "Crookedest Street" Lombard Street consists of eight sharp turns, that have earned the street the distinction of being the crookedest� street in the world.�

 

• Cruise towards North Beach on the slopes of Telegraph Hill: North Beach is the city's most european neighborhood, with a primarily Italian flavor. Recently honored as one of the 10 great neighborhoods in the country! Stop and see St. Peter and Paul's Church and Washington Square Park the center of "Little Italy"

• Return to the watefront near Pier 39: The Pier is the home of the sea lions, and one of the top tourist attractions in the nation. See and smell the ocean going fleet as we scoot back to the starting point.

Our goal is to let guests enjoy riding an eco-friendly Segway, see more sights than they could cover on foot and have lots of fun. An added benifit for the environment is a few less tour buses on the streets of the city each day.

Segway Requirements:

• Riders MUST have taken a Segway Tour (ours or in another city- not a test ride - a full tour) in the last 12 months. This is not a beginner tour or appropriate for guests with mobility issues.

• Riders must be age 12 and older and weigh between 100 - 250lbs (45 to 115 kilos). Riders 12 - 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• Segway Tour is Not Recommended for anyone over the age of 70 years. Pregnant women will not be allowed to participate in Segway Tour for saftey reasons. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria.

DEPARTURE LOCATION:

Segway Tours depart from the rear parking lot at 757 Beach Street near the corner of Hyde Street. Located across Beach Street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turn around in Fisherman's Wharf.

PARKING:

• We do not have parking facilities at our training area. Street parking is limited and meters last a maximum of 2 hours. (Tours last over 2 hours) We do not reimburse parking costs.

• We have a negotiated discount parking for the Anchorage garage 500 Beach Street San Francisco, CA 94133 - 2 blocks East of our location on Beach Street. Rate is $10.00 for up to 8 hours. To get discount you must pick up a barcoded sticker coupon at our office and attach it to the Anchorage parking ticket before exiting garage. No discount is available without this parking coupon. This parking offer is subject to change or be canceled without notice. We are not affliated with or responsible for parking at the garage or operations of the Anchorage garage management company. Rate not available on major holidays.

• Paid Parking: Ghirardelli Square Garage: 900 Northpoint Street San Francisco CA 94109. Garage entrance is on Larkin Street between Beach Street and North Point Street. 1.5 blocks West of our location.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

IF YOU ARE LATE YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR RESERVATION Plan ahead - parking , driving times, public transit delays and traffic are always an issue: You must arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in and start your tour and training on time! If you arrive late we will NOT let you join a tour group that has already started training and your reservation will be forfeited without a refund or reschedule. NO EXCEPTIONS

Cancellation, Changes & No Show Policy:

Cancellations within 72 hours of the tour are charged in full. Changes must be made 72 hours prior to tour date. Cancellations prior to 72 hours are fully refunded. We charge 100% for No Shows. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, the full ticket price will be refunded.

Advanced Tour Rider Requirements: ALL RIDERS

Be age 12 and older and weigh between 100 - 250lbs (45 to 115 kilos). Riders 12 - 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All Riders will be required to sign a waiver of liability. Riders 12 - 17yrs of age must have parent or guardian sign consent form.

Complete the Segway rider training and test ride. Wear the helmet and any safety gear that is provided with the tour. Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride. Flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels are not to be worn for this tour.

Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. Riders will be standing for the entire length of the tour while on the Segway.

NOTE: Segway Tour is Not Recommended for anyone over the age of 70 years. Pregnant women will not be allowed to participate in Segway Tour for saftey reasons. Riders are responsible for all damage to equipment and will be required to pay damage fees as assessed by a company manager.

Liability Agreement:

All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond our control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

Company Reserves the Right to:

Change the size or routing of the tour to meet demands for that specific day. Tours run fog, light rain or shine. Company suggests bringing dressing appropriately for weather condtions. Segways are designed to run in any weather. Routes may vary dependent on participants interests, time available and street openings.

Cancel any tour due to weather or other unforseen circumstances. Refuse participation to anyone who, in the opinion of a company representative, is incapable or unable to safely ride a segway.

Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses. Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions. Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
