Sausalito's first Segway Tour - Glide along the Bay on our Eco-Friendy Segways After a 40-45 minute training on how to safely operate the Segway and saftey rules of the road, you'll explore the Sausalito waterfront for two hours! Reservations are required, so we encourage you to book in advance. Our Tours are limited to eight riders and ages 12 over 100 lbs or 45 kilos and up are welcome. Sausalito is an alluring village of art galleries, quaint shops and waterfront restaurants with views of San Francisco across the bay. Sausalito's cliff-hanging cottages and houseboat community lend a Mediterranean ambiance, but the locals you will meet are pure "California."  Highlights Include: Houseboat communities and legendary wooden boats in the many harbors, the Bay Model, famous recording studios, bayside estuaries and an overview of Sausalito history. Waterfront landmarks include Dunphy Park, Cass Marina, Galilee Harbor, Marinship and The Bay Model. The tour route on the Bay Trail follows the coastline of Richardson Bay. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
About Our Segways: The Segway Human Transporter has captivated the public's attention since March 2003. The Segway is the worlds first and only self balancing electric transport mechanism. Forward and backward maneuvering is guided by rider's natural motions. Emissions and noise free touring, powered by rechargeable LIoN battery packs. Segways are more manuverable and stop faster than bikes. Rules of the Road for Segways in Sausalito: Segways are allowed in most places in Sausalito. The goal of our guided tours is to safely coexist with both visitors and residents of this special city. We use a combination of designated bike paths, trails and low speed-light traffic streets to conduct our guided tours. We stress courtesy, rules of the road and common sense when riding a Segway in the city. The Sausalito Electric Tour Company advocates safe tour routes, careful Segway use and detailed rider education. We want a positive tour experience for our guests and encourage respect for residents and visitors sharing the roads, sidewalks and bike paths in the city. Eco Friendly Touring: Our goal is to let guests enjoy riding an eco-friendly Segway, see more sights that they could cover on foot and have lots of fun. Important: All Riders must be age 12 and older and must weight over 100 lbs or 45 kilos. Sausalito Segway Tour Departures: April through October: Daily at 11:30am and November through March: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am. Important Information: All Riders must be age 12 and older and must weight over 100 lbs or 45 kilos. Training takes 40-45 minutes, Sausalito tours are 2.5 - 3 Hours including the training time. We require 6 guests to run the Sausalito Tour. Individual reservations will be combined into groups of 6 as needed. Please indicate an alternate date and time on order form. For rider safety please no flip flops, sandals or high heel shoes. Sausalito Departure Location: Please meet at 1000 Bridgeway Sausalito CA, 94965. Located at the corner of Bridgeway and Caledonia Street. Look for the Segway Guide / Van in the large public parking lot behind The Taste of Rome Restaurant formely The old Caffe Trieste. We are located 2 blocks north of the Sausalito Ferry Terminal. The Ferry Dock is located at the foot of El Portal East of Bridgeway. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities? Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why the tour includes 40-45 minutes (estimated) of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. Rider Requirements: Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate. All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds (46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required. We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied on the tour by a parent or guardian. NOTE: To All Guests for the Segway Tour: All guests must be age 12 or older and weigh between 100-250 lbs. (46-115 klilos) No refunds if you do not meet these criteria.

The Bay Area is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, light rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any outdoor activity. Summer afternoon temperatures can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog or weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour. Meals Souvenirs and Miscellaneous Costs: Tour prices do not include Meals, Beverages, Admission Fees, Ferry Tolls or Souvenirs. Supplier and Tourcorp assume no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, weather, conditions of trails, roads, bays, oceans, rivers, airspace and any other conditions beyond control of Supplier, in addition to insufficient numbers of passengers.
